Several web developers who use Word Press as a content management system for their clients have trouble removing the comment box in the web pages! Here is a tiny routine you can use to remove the comment box.
Go to pages in the Dashboard:
- Click on pages
- When you roll your mouse over the page title you will get options like Edit, Quick Edit, Thrash, View
- Click on Quick Edit
- You will see many options like title, slug, date, author, password, parent, order, template…
- Below the template you will see an option that states allow comments
- Uncheck the box and your comment box is gone
I spent 3 hours researching through different forums trying to figure out how to remove the comment box. Most advices were about editing the php scripts and different other files. When you have a simple option as uncheck the comment box from quick edit! I think there is no need for all the fuss.
